Masakatsu KONDO, Artist

Born 1961 in Aichi, a graduate of The Slade School of Fine Art, University College London in 1993. He lives and works in London. Major exhibitions include Annihilation at Victoria Miro, London (1993), John Moores Painting Prize 20 (1997) at Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Prime: Reflection of Color and Form (2001) at Tokyo Operacity Art Gallery, Tokyo, Surface (2001) at Nederlands Foto Instituut, Rotterdam, Nature in Dreams - From Early Showa Surrealism to Contemporary Painting at Gunma Museum of Art (2006), Tatebayashi, Gunma, Bridge (2006) at David Risley Gallery, London.

Eriko ESAKA,Director, Global Communications, International Design Center, NAGOYA (IdcN)

She previously organised numerous lectures, workshops and exhibitions for both fine art and design based exhibitions at the Art & Design Centre, Nagoya University of Art. She is in charge of initiating international exchange, workshop for the young designers, running the international design forum for the Creative Cities Network - UNESCO as the Director of Global Communications section for IdcN since 2009.

Eiji SHINMI,the representative of Alternative Art Centre - Hachi

Born 1957 in Kyoto. He opened Shinmi Gallery in 1982 and organised exhibitions with young artists predominantly from Nagoya ever since. He extended the café section and renamed the gallery, canolfan. He initiated the Alternative Art Centre – Hachi to provide the exchange of the local and cultural information, the art gallery called hinten, and Café Parlwr. He also set up internet broadcast Teppan TV in 2009 to coincide with inaugural Aichi Triennale 2010.

Motoko TANAKA, writer & creative facilitator
Born in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1975. In 1999, chaired the Aoyama Dōjunkai Apartment Building reclamation project DO+. Co-founded mosaki in 2004 and primarily involved in writing and direction. In 2007-2008, acted as creative facilitator at co-lab. Since 2009, Tanaka has been a member of the Cultural Affairs Commission of the Architectural Institute of Japan. Among the serialisations of Tanaka's work has been mosaki's Event Pilgrimage (2005-2008: Nikkei Architecture magazine) and Experimental Residential Architecture from the Viewpoint of Wives and Daughters (Mrs. magazine, Bunka Publishing Bureau).


Masaki ONISHI,editor & architecture

Born in 1977 in the Osaka metropolitan area. In 2001, graduated from the Department of Architecture, College of Science and Technology, Nihon University. In 2003, completed a master's course in Architecture, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Nihon University. After working for Ushida Findlay Architects (UK) in 2003-2004 and co-founded mosaki. At mosaki, Onishi is in charge of editing and design. From 2004 to 2007, he was a tutor in Nihon University's Department of Architecture. Since 2007, Onishi has served as a committee member in the NU Architecture Forum of Nihon University's Architecture Department. From 2007 to 2009, he was a member of the Editorial Committee of the Architectural Institute of Japan.
